Data sources
What powers TCG Bros Intelligence today — and what we deliberately do not claim.
| Game | Feed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| MTG | Scryfall bulk / API market USD | Primary catalog + USD prices written into price_snapshots. |
| Pokémon | Pokémon TCG API | Catalog + market USD when present on the card payload. |
| Yu-Gi-Oh! | YGOPRODeck | Catalog + card prices mapped into the shared snapshot schema. |
| One Piece | OPTCG API | English catalog + daily USD market field and source date; consumption-only API. |
| Riftbound | Riot API approval required | Integration remains gated until an approved app-specific Riot API key is issued. |
Refresh & retention
- Daily GitHub Actions ingest (staggered per game) writes one UTC as-of date.
- Price history is pruned to roughly 35 days on Neon paid.
- Change windows use the closest prior snapshot on or before 1 / 7 / 30 days ago — same convention as the site price tools.
- With only one snapshot day, indexes show baseline levels; d1/d7/d30 and momentum stay empty rather than inventing direction.
What is not a source
TCGPlayer's developer API is closed to new applicants — we do not treat it as available. Cardmarket CSV imports cover our seller inventory for the shop, not market-wide history. Affiliate buy links may still open TCGPlayer or Cardmarket product pages; that is separate from sales-volume analytics.
Informational catalog analytics only — not financial advice, not verified marketplace sales, and not an audited performance claim. Trading-card prices are collectibles data; past snapshot moves do not predict future results.
